Terms of Service

The rules for paying Nepal bills and top-ups with SewaPay — written to be read, not skimmed past.

1. About these terms

These Terms of Service ("Terms") apply whenever you use SewaPay at sewapay.com ("SewaPay", "we", "us"). By making a payment or creating an account, you agree to these Terms, our Privacy Policy and our Refund Policy. If you don't agree, please don't use SewaPay.

2. What SewaPay does

SewaPay lets you pay for services in Nepal — mobile top-ups, data packs, electricity, water, TV and internet bills — from anywhere in the world using an international card, Apple Pay or Google Pay.

Card payments are handled by a PCI-DSS certified payment processor. Once your payment is confirmed, we send the top-up or bill payment to the service provider through our licensed payment partners in Nepal. SewaPay is not the mobile operator, utility or internet/TV provider — each provider remains responsible for its own service.

3. Using SewaPay

  • You must be at least 18 years old and allowed to use the card or wallet you pay with.
  • You are responsible for the details you enter — phone numbers, customer IDs, account numbers and amounts. Please check them before paying: a top-up or bill payment sent to the wrong number or account usually can't be reversed.
  • Give us a working email address. Receipts and payment updates are sent there.

4. Prices, fees and currency

Bills and top-ups are priced in Nepalese rupees (NPR). Your card is always charged in US dollars (USD), converted at SewaPay's exchange rate. Before you pay, checkout shows the NPR amount, our service fee, the bank processing fee and the total in USD — that total is what you are charged.

Your card issuer may add its own foreign-transaction or currency-conversion fees. Those are set by your bank, not by SewaPay.

5. Payment and delivery

We only send your top-up or bill payment to the provider after your card payment is confirmed. Most payments are delivered within seconds, but a provider can occasionally take longer. You'll get an email receipt, and you can check the status from your receipt link.

If a payment is taken but the service can't be delivered, you'll be refunded as described in our Refund Policy. Bill amounts, package prices and availability come from the provider and can change; if a price changes before you pay, we'll ask you to look it up again rather than charge a different amount.

6. Accounts

You can pay as a guest or sign in with your email or Google account to see your payment history. Keep access to your email and Google account secure — anyone who can sign in to it can see your SewaPay history. We may suspend or block accounts and email addresses linked to fraud or misuse.

7. What you must not do

  • Use a card, wallet or account you aren't authorised to use.
  • Use SewaPay for fraud, money laundering or any unlawful purpose.
  • Interfere with SewaPay, probe it for weaknesses, or use bots or scripts to make requests.
  • Resell SewaPay's service without our written permission.

8. Third-party services

SewaPay relies on a card payment processor, licensed payment partners and the individual service providers for delivery, and Google for optional sign-in. Their own terms also apply to the parts of your payment they handle. We aren't responsible for a provider's service after a payment has been successfully delivered to it — for example, a network outage at your mobile operator or a dispute about a utility bill.

9. Our liability

We work hard to keep SewaPay available and accurate, but it is provided "as is". To the extent the law allows, our total liability for any payment is limited to the amount you were charged for that payment, and we aren't liable for indirect or consequential losses. Nothing in these Terms limits any rights you have that can't be limited by law.

10. Changes to these terms

We may update these Terms as SewaPay changes. The date at the top shows the latest version, and the version in place when you make a payment applies to that payment.

11. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of Nepal.
